Culture at ACCIONA Australia and New Zealand

8.2
8.2 rating for Culture, based on 43 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
All members of the team are quite respectful, and people do not harp on the hierarchy all that much. very senior members treat you as if you are a younger version of themselves and guide you through your work. All members are treated as if their opinions are valued and respected.

The culture is really good, everyone is really welcoming and the morale is good in the office.

Alot of work and not many events compared to other companies. The office is place strictly for business, and we might have an event outside of the office once every 1-2 months. General structure is manager to seniors to graduates. I report to the seniors and only socialize with them at work.

Great culture, everyone is super lovely. Both in the office and out.

People are very friendly. There could be more work done to connect grads, the only social event we had was one at the start of 2022. In general, I think management are good at hearing feedback and receptive to being challenged, as well as giving feedback and supporting me when I need a bit of flexibility. I also find people to be very collaborative and willing to support your development or work tasks. Issues with culture are common to the wider industry. I think it is not a particularly welcoming environment to LGBTQI+ people and gender-diverse individuals. There are no gender neutral bathrooms in any office, creating a barrier and clear signal that queer people are not particularly welcome or well-understood. All diversity initiatives seem to focus exclusively on getting more women into the workforce, which is important but also a somewhat basic first step, it would be great to see more efforts put into supporting people with disability, queer people and people from different cultural backgrounds.

There is a great surface level culture that appears to be more than it is. Socializing has been great and there is a big encouragement for team bonding and after work activities on my Project.

I find that at corporate there are not as many team bonding initiatives as there are on Project so the culture lacks a little bit.

Culture in the company is very clear with a great desire to achieve success and foster career growth for all employees. Within the office there is a great balance between working hard and enjoying and learning. Outside the office there is regular activities and social engagements as well as various fundraising activities and community engagements.

The people are very welcoming and we have a few team meeting in the office and after hours which is great. It is intimating to socialize with some people since there is an age gap.

In the office, people tend to respect each other's cultural backgrounds while I hope to see more females on site.

The company's culture can be a challenging, intense one, but it can also be fun and welcoming. We work on very challenging projects and often face quite stressful situations, but there is an emphasis on working together as a team to solve these issues and never going it alone. The structure and hierarchy can be a little difficult to understand and navigate as a graduate, but that is part of the process of learning the ropes of the company and understanding the corporate environment on a whole. Social events were more frequent on my previous project, as we are currently in the busy site establishment phase on WHT, but opportunities to socialise amongst colleagues are ramping up and I have found several colleagues I will stay in touch with for a long time.

I strongly believe that Acciona treat their employees equally well. I do not feel discriminated or left out. I feel supported by the team and HR. The work environment is friendly and NOT toxic.

Friendly and approachable. Always willing to give each other a hand. Everyone is treated with respect. Have developed friendships with many of my workmates and even get together outside of work. The work environment definitely promotes teamwork at all levels of the business, with each level of personnel working together. The workplace is extremely sociable both during work hours and outside of work hours.

In the office, the culture is work focussed and professional. Colleagues with more experience are always willing to give time to those, such as myself, who have less experience. There isn't much socializing amongst colleagues that I'm aware, nor is it important to me as I want to do my work, then go home

The work culture is good, everyone in kind and open. We have an active social club. we often have after work drinks set up for special occasions
