There is great awareness about diversity, and the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Committee often hosts great informative events around different cultures and groups. My office is very diverse in all respects and has great LGBTIQA+ awareness

Diversity is shown as a priority in policy and events. M?ori and Pasifika do not seem to be represented in the wellington office.
Graduate, Wellington - 30 Jul 2024
I believe it is very diverse, there is a lot of different communities and people within the company and even within my team. I have learnt a lot about other cultures that I didn't know through different events too such as different cultural morning teas.

The company always promote the diversity on each event.

It's okay. Nothing amazing but nothing bad either. I do like how they have free hygiene products in the bathroom if you need

Our business has pretty good diversity policies in place. We hire for grads almost 50/50 regarding gender, and there is a program in place for getting more women into senior leadership. Regarding pay we do have a pay gap as the seniority increases, but looking at how the data was calculated it is related to the smaller number of women in senior leadership, and both NZ and Aus are better than the Aus standard for the industry. Our offices are really diverse with a lot of international staff who have come to make NZ their home. We have an ED&I committee who regularly host events for different ethnic groups and other minorities with genuine care and interest. All of our female staff who have recently had children have returned to the office, each with their own flexible approach to being back in the business. We also have had male staff who's partners have recently had children also take a flexible approach to being at work and supporting their families.

The company is very diverse in ethnicity and I found, in the B+P structural team in NZ, there is fair amount of women, possibly more women than there is men.
Graduate, Hamilton - 09 Jul 2024
There is a pretty good mix of diversity and age in the office. Not quite the best mix of gender yet, but it looks to be getting better based on the mix of gender in the grad intake.

Diversity is important in regards to women and LGBT community with office groups and meetings held at office.

Lots of people are employed from outside of NZ and come to work for the company. Generally light in women, especially in the engineering field. The company has diversity courses that are mandatory for everyone to take each year.

Diversity is well represented

The workplace is very supportive of LGBTQ+.

Diversity here is really good ! Just lacking in the management sector - barely any women
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Nov 2023
We painted a wall with rainbow stripes but otherwise I'm not sensitive to these initiatives.

We have a diverse office, with lots of Ex Pats from all around the world. We have a high proportion of women in the office, we additionally have in place systems to get women into management roles, and great parental leave. Our office has been really welcoming towards LGBTIQA+ communities and employees.
Graduate, Hamilton - 08 Nov 2023
Their seems to be a real push to hire more women/minorities. People also don't seem to be discriminated on based on sexual identity (diversity is championed by the company).
I think retention would be higher if the pay reviews weren't so rubbish. It must cost the money more to hire new people they have lost due to remuneration than it would to just pay more. It also feels disrespectful to not have experience recognised which tarnishes the other good aspects about working at AECOM
Graduate, Christchurch - 08 Nov 2023
Yeah seems pretty good, lots of women in leadership roles which I love. still room for improvement.
Professional, Wellington - 08 Nov 2023
Have not seen any discriminatory behaviour towards anyone within the company. I like to think that if it ever did occur in the office, it would be called out immediately and treate4d very seriously. It is simply not condoned here.
