The AIA Australia Story

AIA Australia is a subsidiary of AIA Group, the largest pan-Asian life insurer which was founded in 1919. AIA has been serving millions of people and families and operates in 18 markets across the Asia-Pacific region.

In 1972, they opened the first Australian office in Melbourne, and have grown significantly since then. Today, they provide life and health insurance services to over 3.8 million Australians through their offices across the country. Through comprehensive and flexible life cover options, they want to help Australians protect the things they value most.

The company’s dream is to champion Australia to be one of the healthiest and best-protected nations in the world. Rather than just being a payer of claims, they want to partner with customers by no longer focusing on sickness, but on health.

They also work closely with major financial advisers, and financial institutions, as well as affinity and corporate partners to deliver relevant insurance products. AIA Australia has won multiple awards, including Super Review’s Best Insurer of the Year (2018, 2019), Women in Finance Employer of the Year Award (2018, 2019), and iSelect Partner Awards Insurer of the Year (2019).

Culture & vibe

Depending on the project you are assigned to, you may get to work on different types of frameworks. With each day varying from the previous, you must be able to work autonomously. And with continuous daily learning about product rules and process procedures, you will be able to learn many things about your profession.

The purpose and core values of the company are communicated often with the employees, and the business pursues actively its purpose. They strive to build a strong financial foundation, innovative insurance solutions, as well as simple and transparent claims processes.

Here you can meet talented individuals and diverse teams across the business. They are approachable and willing to collaborate to overcome challenges.

The company provides an environment that supports employees to work flexibly, and the option to work from home is also available. However, there are times when you need to handle a high workload.

They believe that these clubs and grassroots sports play a pivotal role in fostering social connection, physical activity and a sense of community for their members.
