Office & Workplace at ANZ

7.8
7.8 rating for Workplace, based on 36 reviews
Please comment on your company's office space, location and facilities. And while we're at it, please tell us a little about the dress code.
Good area and good amenities. However having to book desks every day and potentially not being able to sit with team is not effective and very poor.

Offices are generally well maintained and modern. The Brisbane office is located on Eagle St with great views. Dress code is dependant on your teams and what the day looks like. For front-line commercial staff generally a dress shirt + pants is standard with suits for external/some internal meetings.

The offices are well-maintained and properly equipped with great technology, sufficient meeting rooms and adequate facilities. The location itself is in a great spot, just a short walk or tram from Southern Cross station. The dress code is "dress for your day" so it may be a shirt and slacks when meeting with stakeholders but on a more casual day it may be jeans and a jumper. This also varies across different areas. Overall, the dress code is very flexible and not strictly formal, just as long as you are dressed appropriately.

The Perth office is clean, inviting, and comfortable. Attire ranges from professional, down to casual depending on the role.

Dress code - generally is smart casual. People range from business professional, business casual, to smart casual. I actually like dressing up so this is fine to me. The office space - It is an open office. All floors are like this. Most teams have a floor, but you are allowed to sit where you like. There is a library floor where you can work quietly, but I wish it was a larger space. Quiet/focus areas are limited. There could be more stress relief or supportive environments for employees to use. The food available is very standard, and due to the office location getting into the heart of the CBD can take up to 30mins via tram. So more in office options would be great, like hot breakfasts, and fresh lunches. The facilities - could be more modern. Fem-care products available to staff. Uni-sex restrooms. Recovery rooms/areas. Free gym access. Walking desks. Essentially just more work-life balance opportunities; cooking classes, speakers that employees want to hear from, free massage therapy, Melbourne is an art diverse city - bring that culture into the bank, etc.

The office is generally nice and being totally ANZ makes it feel quite cool in a different sort of way. I like the facilities, we have kitchens on every floor and I make use of the EOT facilities which are great for someone who likes to ride to work. The dress code is kind of dependent on team, some teams are much more businessey than others. I'd say as long as you dress appropriately for the day then it's personal preference.

Standard office fittings. Desks are adjustable and seats are comfy. The lighting is also good and the weather-proofing is good.

The Sydney office is quite modern and the shared amenities are cleaned regularly. It's right in the middle of the city, and right next to Town Hall station which is very convenient. The Melbourne office was built in ~2010 and is similar to Sydney, just a little bit worn out in some respects. It's also in Docklands, which feels disconnected from the rest of the CBD.

Dress for your day

Really nice, can be a bit tricky to navigate. Definitely prefer working from home still. The dress code is dependent on role, but for the most part smart casual is acceptable.

Dress code - smart casual to professional Facilities - generally okay. Persisting tech issues (screens not working, etc.) seem to continuously be unaddressed.

Clean, large, modern office spaces and facilities and the dresscode varies depending on the team but generally business casual (dress with sneakers or jeans with a blazer)

Excellent facilities. dress code is relatively formal when office is in full working conditions (i.e. not majority WFH)

All ANZ Corporate offices are fantastic, really spacious, luxurious and makes you feel like you work for a company that is very successful. Dress code is formal, however they do have dress for your day, so it depends on your role.

The Sydney office has fantastic amenities, is in a great central location in the CBD and has plenty of space for everyone (especially important for social distancing). Dress code again varies on which team you are in, but predominantly business casual, or business for meeting with clients.

The Perth office is only 1 floor, but we are in a very nice building. I find that people leave things around the place, so there is some mess, but otherwise pleasant to work in. The dress code is very diverse, the general guide is "dress for your day", meaning if you're not meeting with clients more causal attire is acceptable. We also practice casual Friday where most people wear jeans and sneakers.

Dress code is business casual most of the time. Good layout, can talk to everyone easily. Air conditioning is out of control - often I am too cold to dress formally.

Great location in the middle of the city, dress code is dress for your day - wear what you want (within reason).
