Data at ANZ is about delivering better, more impactful customer propositions into market faster. We’re flipping traditional banking on its head. You’ll get to be part of the journey.

At ANZ, data science is a contact sport. We leverage its value to drive better decisions for our customers and people.

As a Data Graduate you will:

  • Solve problems that have real life impact which matters most to our customers.

Supporting the wellbeing of our people is also core at ANZ which is why we cherish the people-first culture we are famous for and why the Australian Financial Review rated us the number 1 place to work in the banking and finance industry for 2021.

Being part of ANZ means working in a diverse and inclusive workplace where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated, creating a great place to belong. We encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself. Pros and cons of working at ANZ

Pros

  • ANZ has a very collaborative culture. I feel that the staff have a corporate responsibility to nurture and educate their graduates.

  • Flexible work hours and reasonable expectations.

  • I got a lot of opportunities to grow my knowledge and skills and was able to leverage industry professionals.

  • The people are the best part about working at ANZ. Staff genuinely care for and support each other.

  • The best aspect of working at ANZ is the vast array of opportunities available, the fantastic people I work with, and the inclusive, supportive culture.

Cons

    • The 50% return-to-office mandate introduces punitive measures that significantly impact the flexibility we previously enjoyed.

    • Technology is a bit behind the market, and processes can be slow.

    • It can sometimes be a little challenging getting help when first getting started in a role.

    • There are also issues with too much bureaucracy and over-complication of processes to resolve issues.

    • We were not allowed to negotiate even if our new managers wanted to. This was all done in fairness, but it really didn’t feel fair.
