Data Analyst - Casual

ASX has established an ambitious new business line to commercialise its rich datasets through a data analytics platform that will sit at the centre of a financial markets data ecosystem.

This key role will be responsible for gathering data from various sources and then reviews and interprets it using data analysis tools to provide meaningful information and insights to help businesses make better-informed decisions.

What you'll do:

• Identify data sources, collect, assess quality and organize data in to analytics ready formats;
• Setting up data infrastructure, developing, implementing and maintaining databases
• Generating information and insights from data sets and identifying trends and patterns;
• Creating visualisations of data and preparing reports for executive and project teams.

What you've done:

• Demonstrated interest in developing career in capital markets
• Experience with Python/R/SQL/Excel/BI and data analytics open source frameworks
• Related majors to computer science, mathematics and statistics.

• Strong mathematical & numeracy skills.
• Excellent analytical, presentation and problem solving skills.
• Intermediate understanding of Hadoop Hive, Impala and Spark.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Communication skills with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills
