As a graduate at AT you will be given the opportunity to explore many different paths, on a journey to find a career that gives you purpose and taps into your passion. Different backgrounds, different experiences, different cultures and different degrees - all add to our diverse programme which allows you to bring your full self to work, Tiakitanga - Safe with us.

AT is on the move, delivering innovative thinking and projects across Auckland with a clear focus on creating "Easy Journeys" for the millions of customers we support every day, Manaakitanga - we careโ€ฆ full stop.

Our diverse team of forward thinking, passionate people use their expertise to deliver large projects, plan our transport networks, and tackle the city's transport challenges. We're one big whฤnau who go big to deliver great experiences and outcomes for the people of Tฤmaki Makaurau, Auahatanga - Better, bolder, together.

Are you ready to join us and make your plans a reality? Let's go there! Explore our Graduate Careers Page here.

We have spaces available in the following teams:

In the CX Marketing team โ€“ suited to Marketing, Business, or Data Analytics background/degrees.

In the Transformation Hub (Kea) - applied Behavioural Science โ€“ a combination of psychology, marketing, qualitative and quantitative research skills, public policy, data science, facilitation, and experimentation methods,. Phew! We know no new grad will have all the above, but experience with one or two of these areas of specialisation, combined with a passion for human-centred design and Behavioural science will set you up well in this team.

Business Technology โ€“You might have a Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Science, or Computer Science degree.  We are working on some innovative customer solutions - IOT engineers, big data, security, cloud computing.  Ideally, you will have end to end exposure with hardware (sensors and radar units etc) edge devices and how to pull data and analytics off them.

Why join AT's Graduate Programme?

  • You will have the opportunity to work with inspiring and diverse talent and learn from some of the most renowned leaders and specialists in the Industry.
  • During our 18-month programme, you will work on building your craft within your home team under the guidance of a mentor being offered both stability and support.
  • Graduates also get the opportunity to work across the business and sometimes with our council partners (e.g. Auckland Council, Auckland Unlimited etc.) gaining new skills and delivering real projects and change.
  • You will experience a variety of challenges and have exposure to a wide range of disciplines, teams and projects - and no two projects are the same.
  • Our programme will enable you to develop a base of skills that will enable you to flex your career now and into the future.
  • You will begin your AT journey as part of the 2022 cohort and wider graduate/Nga Kaihoe community, building strong connections and having a support network during your time at AT.
  • Whanaungatanga, AT values the range of experiences, perspectives and voices that our diverse team bring.
