I think the organisation does an good job at ensuring diversity and supporting women and LGBTIQA+ community.

I think Aurecon is extremely diverse and encourages diversity, I do not feel like I am affected by my gender within the workplace which is nice!

We have great policies to prevent discrimination, and a wide range of leaves for people to apply. There are also many training courses online and hybrid events to raise the awareness of DEI.

We have a Diversity, equity and inclusion team within the company who ensure that the company is on the right track and that we are celebrating and supporting all employees and their background etc. we also can swap our public holidays around to celebrate important cultural days on an individual level instead of the standard days.

For an engineering team, my team has a very high level of women across all levels. During school holidays, there are activities for children and employees are able to bring their children into the office.

Aurecon have many committees with members dedicated to staying up to date with current issues and providing events to support and address these issues. Childcare and maternity leave policies are extremely beneficial at Aurecon and are recognized nationally.

Aurecon seems to be ahead of the pack. I would love them to address the issues at their core rather than just doing what could be seen as virtue signaling but appreciate the effort none the less. Their push for indigenous inclusion has weakened in recent months due to restructure that removed some key individuals. it seems this gap hasn't been met yet.

I don't believe that we have a conscious focus on class/socio-economic background, but our 5 pillars of DEI seek to address the disadvantage experienced by people with marginalised identities.
