Want to bring ideas to life?

This is a very exciting time for you - full of endless possibilities. It's important to choose a company whose purpose aligns with your own. Aurecon's highly awarded graduate programme has all that covered and more.

We are looking for Civil Engineering/Water graduates to be based in the following locations:

  • Tāmakai Makaurau Auckland
  • Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington
  • Ōtautahi Christchurch

This role will sit in the Land & Water business unit.

What is Land & Water at Aurecon?

The Land & Water business unit at Aurecon covers three disciplines: Water, Land Infrastructure, and Geospatial.

The Water practice at Aurecon covers Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater (also known as the three waters) on projects covering water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment, pump stations, network modelling and conveyance, and reticulation design.

Land Infrastructure (often known as general civils) provides strategic advice and design services to support the planning, design, and construction of property, defence, health, education, aviation, and transportation projects. We have a broad range of experience and expertise across all of the markets our clients operate in. We actively seek opportunities to digitise the way we access site constraints and design infrastructure.

What are we looking for from you?

You'll be ready to make an impact. You would have graduated or be graduating soon with a formal qualification. You will need to have the ability to work on a full-time basis from February 2025.

We'll need you to have this degree: Bachelor of Engineering (Hon) in Civil Engineering, or similar

You would have studied the following subjects or areas of focus:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering / Natural Resources
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Water and Environmental Systems Engineering
  • Bachelor of Chemical & Process Engineering

And you will bring:

  • Passion for changing the way we deliver carbon neutrality and sustainability in everything we do.
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with both your peers and clients to push forward the boundaries of what is possible.
  • Enthusiasm for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future.
  • Excitement about your journey with Aurecon.

The Fonterra transition to a resilient, low-emissions economy with their new biomass boiler at their Waitoa factory, that was us. The O Mahurangi (Penlink) two-lane road for walking and cycling providing better, safer, and more reliable transport options in Northern Auckland? That was us.  Murdoch University’s Boola Katitjin, which is the first mass-engineered-timber (MET) building in Western Australia? Yes, that was us too. And the Tseung Kwan O Interchange in Hong Kong that improved the district’s accessibility amid increasing transport demand? You guessed it, us.
