We are looking for Digital Experience students to be based in the following locations:

• Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland 
• Te Whanganui-a-Tara/ Wellington 
• Ōtautahi / Christchurch 

What is Digital Experience at Aurecon? 

At Aurecon, digital experience encompasses the use of multiple technologies which we harness to engage with stakeholders, share information, collaborate, communicate, and bring our ideas to life.  

We create films, motion graphics, applications, experiences, and exhibitions, and we specialise in bringing our creativity and curiosity to solving problems with our clients – helping them communicate their vision and connect with the communities and people they serve. 

We use Unreal Engine to create games and interactive experiences and we create bespoke applications in augmented and virtual reality.  Most importantly, we have fun experimenting, creating and designing. 

What are we looking for from you?  

We are looking for students currently studying visualisation (including virtual and augmented reality), architecture, technology, geospatial or data science, and who have an interest in expanding their horizons and skillsets through exposure to our current digital enablement discipline areas of visualisation, graphic design, motion graphics and film, application development and programming. 

We are also interested in students of the following: 

• Robotics Design, fabrication, mechatronics, machine learning and AI 
• Programming
• Construction

You'll be ready to make an impact. You will be studying towards a formal qualification and be in either your 2nd or 3rd year of study. You will need to have the ability to work on a full-time basis from November 2023 until February 2024.

How to Apply 

Step 1: Application Form  

The first step off the application process is an online form which will take approximately 10 - 15 minutes to complete. Please be ready to attach you resume, cover letter and transcript. We will ask you to identify the teams you are most interested in, so please take time to explore our website as this will determine who you engage with through the recruitment process.  

Step 2: Online Assessment 

This step should take up to 1 hour to complete and requires a mix of written and video responses. Please make sure you are in a quiet, well-lit area with a strong internet connection before you start the assessment. During this stage we love to see your passions and motivations in your video responses.  

Step 3: Interview 

If you are selected to progress to the final stage you will be invited for an interview in person or virtually, depending on locations. After the interview process has concluded offers to the successful candidates will be made and contracts issued.
