Your role:

If youโ€™re studying to be a Doctor, youโ€™re probably already thinking about what youโ€™re going to do when you finish your degree. With the Defence University Sponsorship, youโ€™ll earn a salary while you study, plus have part of your study fees taken care of. Best of all, youโ€™ll have a job locked in for when you graduate โ€“ and not just any job.

As a Doctor in the Army, youโ€™ll be exposed to modern and challenging operating environments. Itโ€™s the same equipment youโ€™d have in a civilian position, but with an ever-changing backdrop and range of patients โ€“ from fit healthy adults to refugees and injured troops.

Youโ€™ll have opportunities to travel around Australia and abroad, as well as upskill and earn new qualifications. If youโ€™re looking for a rewarding future role that will challenge you, this could be for you.

Salary:

This is your opportunity to be paid a competitive salary as you study for your degree at the university of your choice. Not to mention, youโ€™ll receive other benefits like rental allowance, textbook reimbursement and assistance with your HELP fees.

While studying your salary will depend on the completion status of your course, however, on completion of your degree, initial military and employment training, you could earn $122,508 per annum plus a generous super.

Life in the Army:

Action, adventure, exciting career opportunities and amazing mateshipโ€”thereโ€™s so much to love about life in the Army. Whether youโ€™re looking to pick up a new skill, get qualified with fully paid training or are up for a new challenge, youโ€™ll find it all in the Army.

Not to mention thereโ€™s also the sense of accomplishment and pride that comes from serving your country and providing support to communities in need, both here and overseas.

This is no ordinary jobโ€”but thatโ€™s exactly what youโ€™re looking for. Enjoy a rewarding career, opportunities to travel, excellent fitness facilities, and free medical and dental; all in a dynamic and fulfilling work environment.

Apply now:

For this role, you must have completed at least two years of a five or six year full-time medical degree.
