Training:

With your public relations qualifications, the Defence Force will teach you all the skills you require for the military through leadership training at the Royal Military College, Duntroon in Canberra. This initial training is 42 days.

Following your initial training, as a Public Relations Officer, you will attend a range of specialist Military Public Affairs and other military courses to enhance your skills.

Salary:

In the Army you'll get paid a highly competitive salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications; and your pay increases as you progress through training.

On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $96,687 per annum plus generous super.

Location:

You'll get to take advantage of the many opportunities to see more of Australia and the world. You could work in a specialist public affairs unit, as a staff adviser around Australia, at Australian Defence Headquarters in Canberra or deploy overseas on operations, exercises or other Defence activities.
