Are you looking to expand your skillset and apply your expertise to challenging environments? The Army Reserve is somewhere you can hone your skills, gain leadership qualities and work in a flexible, part-time capacity.

As a Pharmacist in the Army Reserve many of your duties will be familiar, such as dispensary services, stock control and the management of equipment and consumables. But working with the Army, youโ€™ll have the opportunity to carry out those duties anywhere; from a well-resourced clinic to a field hospital, in Australia or overseas.

With the travel comes a logistics and supply chain management angle to your work. You'll be trained to maintain mobile health assets to ensure temporary medical facilities can be fully resourced at a moment's notice, wherever in the world they are required.

This is a pharmacy role with a rewarding extra dimension. Itโ€™s a great opportunity to travel the region, step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself in new ways. See how this flexible, part-time role can help you boost your career.

Just give as little as one night a week, one weekend a month or a few weeks a year and youโ€™ll get a world of new experiences back.

Boost Your Income

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience.

On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn a package worth at least: $233/day tax-free.

Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments.

Life in the Army Reserve

Thousands of men and women enjoy part-time roles with the Army Reserve, operating alongside full-time Army personnel. The only difference is that your commitment is flexible.

Initial training length will vary based on your chosen role, after which you will normally be expected to serve between 20 and 100 days per year, with scope to serve more days if they are available. This could involve one night a week, one weekend a month or a few weeks a year.

We do our best to make sure this fits in with your work and family commitments. Deployments are voluntary so if you choose to stay local, there are plenty of ways to make a difference closer to home. With no minimum period of service, you can leave the Army Reserve whenever you like.
