It is good, however due to relocation to Canberra I am more so breaking even than generating savings, as it is quite expensive to live here.

Living in Canberra with the APS3 pay for about a year wasn't the greatest, but it was manageable.

Entry level job Starting pay is higher than the market

Pay is adequate. This is only because I have taken a small pay cut to be a grad at my agency. However the promotion and job opportunities that come with it makes it worthwhile.

My salary package in the Federal Government is much more competitive than the offers I received from large consulting companies. No bonuses but the 15.4% super is pretty awesome.

The pay is decent for the professional but still not as good as private. The advantage lies in the working conditions. To advance in pay and opportunity is sometimes a luck of the draw. It can be difficult to progress if there's no position available.

In compare to other departments we are paid less. When I compare my salary with other grads from another department I am earning the least.

Flexibility of hours.

I'm not aware of many other than a gym membership discount. Leave is pretty good. I would consider some of the training and events I have been paid to attend to be perks, and these have been great learning experiences.

They are very flexible with remote working and flexible working arrangements which is great for when I return back to where my family leave on occasion.

The relocation assistance was very helpful, especially for someone like me who had to move from Western Australia for the graduate program.
