Culture at BCD Group

At BCD, the company culture is collaborative and supportive, both in the office and after hours. In the office, the structure and hierarchy are clear, with senior engineers and project managers providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff like myself. This clear hierarchy helps streamline decision-making and ensures that everyone knows their roles and responsibilities. Teamwork is highly valued at BCD. We often work in multidisciplinary teams, which fosters a strong sense of cooperation and mutual respect. The open-door policy encourages us to seek advice and share ideas freely, promoting an inclusive environment where everyone's contributions are valued. After hours, BCD maintains a friendly and social atmosphere. We have regular team-building activities, social events, and informal gatherings that help strengthen our relationships outside of work. These events include attending local rugby games with the team and simple card games on Friday afternoons. This balance of professional collaboration and social interaction makes BCD a great place to work, as it helps build a cohesive and motivated team.

Everyone is approachable and friendly at BCD. Even high up people will have time for a quick chat and will treat you as an equal. There is a often Friday drinks which is nice after a week of work, also very supportive of people that dont drink with 0% beers and other alternatives offered. There is a range of social activities that are supported by BCD outside of work hours, such a social sports teams.

There are many social activities sponsored by the company with new office activities monthly.

The culture is very energetic and motivating. Everybody is fully engaged in the workplace and genuinely care about what they do. There are many social activities to get involved with including several sports, as well as other more laid back options such as quizzes and paint and sip evenings.

BCD has a great culture both within and out of the office, I love the freedom we get to do our work in the office. Theres very little micro managing and love having the long lunches. Employees are very social together. BCD has a great extra-circular culture with lots of cooperate events like golf and rowing

My company want everyone to be friends not just colleagues. Everyone is very nice and very helpful. Make I feel less stressful.

The culture of my office really is fantastic both in work hours and outside of them. In office hours everyone is very lovely and inclusive, often myself and a few of the others will go for coffee or lunch together. Everyone really bands together in the office if i am stuck or not understanding something that an engineer has asked me to do they will sit with me and work through it with me in further detail. The drafting team is always extremely helpful and friendly as well, the senior members and other graduates are always quick to lend a hand and help me learn revit/ solve a issue in my drawing. Outside of the office we do quite a few company activities we have a variety of sports teams to join, bodyfit corporate challenges, marathons , rowing we also do a yearly pub crawl. In my role i report to the drafting managers Lambertus & Nick.

The culture is healthy. My colleagues are more like extended family. After work on fridays there is always shared drinks/food. The leadership do not separate themselves from the rest of the employees. My team are supportive and there to lend a hand. Leadership team are keen to listen and flexible. There is no gossip or bad vibes within the office. Everyone is friendly but also professional and get the job done.

I think everyone is lovely but I find some of the culture quite hard to penetrate being in the planning team and a lot of the activities being sporting ones. I have very much enjoyed when I get to work and correspond with different disciplines though and have a very nice team environment and friendly office feel.

All teams chat to each other and they often have out after hours too, we do discipline gathering and we do company wide events too
