Current Opportunity/ies
The BDO (Nth Qld) office, located in Cairns, is growing and looking for Graduates to join in the new year. We are looking for someone intent on delivering exceptional client service and being part of the evolution of the delivery of professional services. The ideal candidate is keen to engage with colleagues and clients as the role provides the opportunity to work hands on with senior staff members across both Audit and Business Services teams.
What sets our Audit and Business Services specialists apart is their ability to provide exceptional personal service that results in strong relationships however large or small the organisation happens to be.
Their advice is based on a deep understanding of all stages of business growth and is underpinned by a wealth of knowledge and experience in a wide range of industry sectors and the ability to understand not only their clients’ business needs, but also their family needs and their personal wealth needs. I am given a fair amount of responsibility, and plenty of support to learn.
Checking emails, liaising with clients to receive information on their R&D activities, writing/drafting activities according to AusIndustry guidelines/ITAA legislation. Calculating financial incentives and meeting with clients.
Admin tasks including note taking, setting up meeting and powerpoint/word templates, writing and research tasks

Pay is relatively low, however this is industry-wide.
The graduate program doesn't rotate us through all the service lines.
Some managers are great and give constructive feedback. Others do not provide you with proper instructions.
Dishwashers are small... toilets are not flushed... desk are most of the time dirty.
Could include more women, however this is the industry.
