An Opportunity in RAS/Cyber/Forensics

As a Vacationer within our RAS/Cyber/Forensics, you will gain exposure to client engagements overseeing multiple different client offerings.

Cyber

Our Cyber team assist in supporting and strengthening cyber security and technology in our clients locally and nationally. You will be part of a growing team to assist in evaluating and monitoring clients’ business strategies and providing recommendations to improve responses to Cyber risks and threats.

Risk Advisory Services (RAS)

Our RAS team assist clients in meeting their objectives by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, performance management, control and governance processes while servicing many of Queensland’s public and private sector organisations across a diverse industry base. Forensics

Our Forensics team assist clients in meeting their objectives by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, performance management, control and governance. Our team will provide you with challenging opportunities and projects working across our Risk, Cyber and Forensics teams.

About You

To apply for our November/December 2022, RAS/Cyber/Forensics Vacation Program you will demonstrate:

  • We are looking for students in their penultimate year with a dual degree in Bachelor of Information Technology, Law, Business, Commerce, Science, Engineering, Maths or relevant tertiary degree.
  • Demonstrate solid academic achievement
  • Display a motivated approach to continuous learning and career development

Checking emails, liaising with clients to receive information on their R&D activities, writing/drafting activities according to AusIndustry guidelines/ITAA legislation. Calculating financial incentives and meeting with clients.

Pros and cons of working at BDO Australia

Pros

  • The culture in and out of the office is great.

  • My colleagues are always willing to get out of their way to help me.

  • Great opportunity to learn. People are nice and not getting annoyed when I ask questions.

  • Never any pressure to stay late.

  • The training is great, I have learned a lot in my time here.

Cons

    • Pay is relatively low, however this is industry-wide.

    • The graduate program doesn't rotate us through all the service lines.

    • Some managers are great and give constructive feedback. Others do not provide you with proper instructions.

    • Dishwashers are small... toilets are not flushed... desk are most of the time dirty.

    • Could include more women, however this is the industry.
