About Beon, CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy

Beon, CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy is an Australian electricity distribution company that operates throughout western Victoria and the western suburbs of Melbourne. The company owns and maintains power lines, substations, and street lights and manages Victoria's largest electricity distribution network. Powercor is 51% owned by  Cheung Kong Holdings and 49% by Spark Infrastructure which also owns Citipower, which maintains the city of Melbourne's CBD network, and SA Power Networks, which supports the South Australian network.

Your role

Over a three-year period, you will undertake five specialised rotations, along with graduate development events and a graduate trip, developing wider business knowledge and networks, to give you maximum exposure and a truly immersive experience. Examples of these rotations may include Protection and Control, Secondary Assets, Network Planning, Design, and Solar farm operations just to name a few. The opportunities in the business are huge.

Training & development

It also includes structured courses for apprentices and trainees, graduate programs in engineering and information technology, leadership development, and developing new skills. About you

To be eligible, you’ll need to:

  • Graduate with an Electrical Engineering undergraduate or master’s degree
  • Have the right to work in Australia (please note for international applicants they will need to ensure you secure/have secured a subclass 485 or 189 working visa)
  • Have strong communication and analytical skills, enjoy working as part of a team, and are ready to kick-start your career
  • Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or greater
