About the Role 

As a BHP Engineering Graduate your 24-month graduate program is a balanced approach to building your technical and professional capabilities through structured course work and learning on the job. When you start, you’ll be given a buddy who will show you the ropes and gain access to our mentor program to help shape your career.  

As a BHP Engineering Graduate, you will:  

• Have opportunities to be actively involved in various stages of equipment lifecycles, from conceptualisation, design and construction to maintenance, replacement, and decommissioning.
• Contribute to problem solving activities and implementation of initiatives that improve equipment performance.
• Support the team’s contribution to the advisory, design and evaluation of the installation, operation and maintenance aspects of the specific discipline engineering activities.
• Support the team in the evaluation of information and data to identify and create solutions that drive business change.
• Work closely with site and functional customers to identify and manage risk and performance exposures.
• Collaborate on projects across multiple disciplines.
• Attend technical forums where you will hear inspiring presentations, participate in activities focused on expanding your technical knowledge and networking with other graduates.
• Gain exposure to the diverse opportunities within the resources sector at an early stage of your career.

What we are looking for 

You will have already graduated in 2022 or 2023 or be eligible for graduation by the end of 2024.  Your degree could be from one of the following (but not limited) to: 

• Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Construction Management, Project Management, Instrumentation Control & Automation

As our graduate opportunities for engineering are residentially based near our mining operations or require you to work on a Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) roster, it is important that you are willing to consider either of these arrangements to undertake a grad role. 

International students who have a valid visa with no work restrictions are eligible to register.
