CitiPower and Powercor is an Australian electricity distribution company that operates throughout western Victoria, and the western suburbs of Melbourne. The company owns and maintains power lines, substations, and street lights and also manages the largest electricity distribution network in Victoria. Powercor is 51% owned by  Cheung Kong Holdings and 49% by Spark Infrastructure which also owns Citipower, which maintains the city of Melbourne's CBD network, and SA Power Networks, which maintains the South Australian network.

Your role

CitiPower and Powercor is excited to be offering several opportunities for outstanding Customer Service Advisors. You will represent the distribution networks supported by their Contact Centre team based in Bendigo and Melbourne CBD on a casual basis. As one of their highly valued Customer Service Advisors, you will be responsible for assisting customers with a variety of faults and general inquiries in a varied and fast-paced work environment. This role will support their Contact Centre throughout the peaks and high-volume periods due to weather, incident, or seasonal impact.

About you

To secure one of these highly sought-after positions, you will possess:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply customer service skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate computer literacy and typing skills
  • Highly effective communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the square
  • Empathy for customer needs and an ability to work under pressure

Applicants must:

  • Be available for an early November start and have previous experience within a customer-facing role
  • Hold Australian Residency
  • Be happy to work a variety of shifts scheduled across a 24x7 roster 
  • Be flexible to work on short notice during peak workloads in particular to support emergency incidents (eg: bushfires, storms, etc)
  • Participate in their shared availability roster. This involves nominating for a 12 or 24hr period where you’re paid to be “on call”. If called, you may need to attend work with minimal notice. This roster is shared amongst all Customer Service Advisors, average commitment is 1 day per month.
