What will you do?

Join our Systems Engineering Stream to discover some of the complexities of our systems - and untangle them! Learn that Cochlear delivers systems to our customers, not individual products.​

You will own a business-relevant section of system design and see it through to fruition. 

Examples of designs a Summer Student Interns could work on are:

• Bluetooth and other wireless connectivity
• Power model verification/modeling / optimisation
• Cochlear implant product self-diagnostic tests
• Device field data collection and analysis
• User interface design work considering shrinking products, buttons, and connectors.

All engineering disciplines are suitable for the Systems Engineering Stream.

Who are we looking for?

To be eligible for our Summer Student Internship Program – Systems Engineering Stream, you will need to:

• Be a penultimate-year student, completing your degree in calendar year 2026
• Possess the right to work in Australia without sponsorship after graduation
• Available to work full-time from late November 2025 to mid-February 2026
