Daimler Truck and Bus is looking for a dynamic and innovative university student to join the Fuso team as a Product Management and Engineering Assistant. Our 2021 IBL Program will expose you to real jobs, real experiences and real learning which will allow you to gain valuable workplace experience relevant to your chosen field of study. Our IBL 2021 Program

Daimler Truck and Bus supports Industry Based Learning year after year and continues to develop our program and students who participate. We have had many successful applicants carve their future careers in our industry after building strong career foundations through our IBL program. Based at our corporate Head Office in Mulgrave, and with an open mind towards today's remote working needs, we aim to provide you with the opportunity to begin your career with a prestigious global brand while being able to learn from and contribute to your team. We strive to offer fantastic on the job work experience combined with professional development opportunities to enable you to kick-start your future. The program will commence mid-January 2021. You will need to commit to full-time office hours until end of January 2022.

To qualify for this program, you must be an undergraduate student currently completing your penultimate year of study. As at January 2021, you must have a remaining 12 months or 2 semesters of study to complete your degree.

The role

As the Fuso Product Management and Engineering Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the product management and engineering activities of the Fuso Truck and Bus product range. Key tasks will include providing engineering technical support for the Fuso Truck and Bus products, assisting with competitor sales information and specification analysis, assisting with the generation of technical sales documents for product planning purposes and assisting with day-to-day wholesale operations.

As the successful candidate, apply your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build positive business relationships as well as have a high attention to detail. You will enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Above all, as you will be working in a small team, you will be team oriented and have a flexible and adaptable attitude to the changing needs of the business.
We are looking for innovative and highly driven students with a desire to help shape our fast growing global business. You will possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills as well as a high attention to detail. You will enjoy working with others and will bring out of the box thinking and a genuine passion for our industry. You will have a strong interest in immersing yourself in this role in order to achieve greater insights into this business unit, and the Truck and Bus industry as a whole. This role is ideal for students undertaking an Engineering degree.
