Your role

You will work closely with a mentor, delivery teams, and fellow interns to develop existing and new features, solve complex problems and research new ways of doing things.

In this summer internship, you will gain exposure to some of the brightest minds in software development, be onboarded into the organisation, and have regular developmental conversations with mentors and managers.

They have opportunities in a variety of teams:

  1. Provisioning Team: Create software that allows EROAD to connect its devices with its customers. That includes building the software for customers to modify their hardware settings, and for EROAD support staff to troubleshoot customer devices both from the office and on the customer site.
  2. CIP (Customer Integration Platform) Team: The team works on creating and managing a versatile platform that enables the transfer of data from EROAD solutions to customers' solutions, as well as the integration of information from customer data sources into EROAD solutions.
  3. Application Security Team: This team protects our software applications from vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks that could compromise their confidentiality, integrity, or availability.
  4. EHUBO Team: The EHUBO device captures telemetry from the vehicle and transmits it to a cloud application. A small team of firmware engineers maintain the firmware that's installed onto the device.
  5. Sensors & Installer Apps Team: EROAD produces a number of different sensor devices that are installed into vehicles. A few examples are door sensors, lift sensors, drum rotation sensors, and fuel sensors.
  6. Video & Compliance team: You will be working in the Video and Compliance team within the product stream - helping to develop and maintain our Clarity dashcam and ELD solutions.
  7. Tax Team: EROAD started 23 years ago to provide New Zealand truck drivers with a better way to manage their Road User Charges (RUC). Our Global tax team now builds software to solve tax and compliance in Australia and North America - and they still look after RUC, the heart of EROAD.
