Backend Engineer (Java)

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of experience in software development and full product life-cycles
• Coding skills in Java coupled with strong base in object-oriented design, functional programming and development
• You understand basic data structures & algorithms, relational databases, RESTful web services and have good working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience on Java based web frameworks such as Spring Boot, Play, Drop wizard, or Java EE.
• Excellent problem solving skills and understanding of Object Oriented Design and Patterns - GoF
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

Preferred Qualification

• Advanced degree Masters or higher in Computer Science/related field.
• Experience working with a micro-services based platform
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes on AWS or any other cloud provider
• Experience with non-relational databases (MongoDb, Cassandra, Hbas, DynamoDb), designing schemas
• Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statement
• Hands on experience with UI frameworks - React or Angula
