The Protocol Support Officer provides support to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Protocol Division in the area of diplomatic and consular privileges and immunities. This role is at an intern-equivalent level position which is part-time (15 hours per week) and is remunerated accordingly. It would suit a current tertiary student with an interest in international relations.

MFAT provides study assistance to build staff capability and recognise that work-relevant study is an important aspect of development. Staff with an interest in this may apply through their manager for study assistance which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
The appointment range for this role is MFAT Band for Interns NZ$43,793 - NZ$50,362.
