Tell us a bit about yourself and your time so far at MinterEllison?
My journey with MinterEllison began during my clerkship in the summer of 2022-2023. It was an incredible experience that solidified my desire to build a career here. Following that, I transitioned into a paralegal role, further expanding my legal knowledge and practical skills. Now, as a graduate rotating in the Technology Consulting team, I've been focusing on strategic consulting and emerging technology projects, particularly in AI and finance compliance.
From contributing to high-value M&A deals to developing automated workflows and AI governance policies for clients, my time at MinterEllison has been a constant learning process within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Finally, the clerkship program itself solidified my interest in MinterEllison - the hands-on experience and supportive environment were truly invaluable.
You’ve recently done a clerkship with us, how was that process and any advice for future clerks?
The clerkship program at MinterEllison was exceptional. It wasn't just about observing, I was actively involved in real legal work, contributing to client matters alongside experienced lawyers. This practical experience, combined with rotations and social events, provided invaluable insights into the firm and different practice areas. The supportive environment fostered a strong sense of community, and the opportunities to learn from experienced lawyers at all levels were invaluable.
My advice for future clerks is to be proactive and show your curiosity. Seek out opportunities to learn new skills and contribute to projects. Networking with lawyers and participating in events are some great ways to achieve this. Additionally, stay organised and manage your time effectively throughout the application process. Finally, be yourself and demonstrate your passion for commercial law!
