About Role
Data engineers to build data analytical solutions that will address increasingly complex business questions. Data Engineer will be a hands-on person responsible for designing, prototyping and implementing data products that support a wide variety of data processing, data science and analytics needs. Data Engineers work closely with data scientists, product managers, to understand the functional data requirements and leverage the underlying tech stack to come up with scalable, robust data applications which can crunch terabytes of data in real-time. Data products and applications you build will enable data-driven decision making across business, analytics and operations.
What you'll do
- Build reusable technology that enables teams to capture, process, store, and serve their data products in an easy way
- Build and maintain complex and scalable ETL pipelines
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders such as Marketing, Product Analytics, etc.
- Drive data quality and governance
What you'll bring
- Extensive 3+ years of experience in Data/Software Engineering and the ability to design, implement and deliver maintainable and high-quality code with Python
- Previously worked on OOP and design patterns
- Ability to deliver scalable production-ready solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Query performance tuning skills
- Demonstrated strength in data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousing.
- Extensive experience with Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Hive, and Kafka or RabbitMq
- Experience with AWS infrastructure (Redshift, S3, EMR, Glue, Athena)
- Experience with data modelling and data warehousing solutions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to build effective communication structures in a fast-growing fintech organization
- Exceptional technical background and a demonstrated clear impact on achieving business goals
- Demonstrable past experience with Agile methodologies, with a strong focus on data-driven experimentation, lean thinking, and quick iterations
- A basic understanding of Kubernetes & docker is a plus.
