Are you a motivated, energised graduate with a passion for healthcare?

We are looking for graduates who are keen to grow their career in the healthcare industry. This will be your opportunity to gain in-depth experience and broad exposure across our many hospital operations environments.

Be part of an organisation where people are caring for people

The global Ramsay group of businesses operates hundreds of high-quality healthcare facilities and services across 8 countries. Ramsay is known for its excellent hospitals and clinics, providing a wide range of integrated services and outstanding patient care.

Our global reach allows Ramsay to share best practice and innovation, with a long-standing commitment to quality, safety and sustainability.

We are driven by our purpose of 'people caring for people' and we are inspired by our unique culture, which we call The Ramsay Way.

Drive your career with purpose and impact

Our Global Graduate Program offers a unique opportunity for graduates who are, not only flexible and mobile, but dedicated to making a real difference to peoples’ lives. The 24-month program will include 3 x 8-month rotations, working in a range of hospital environments that may include regional and metropolitan locations. The program will give you exposure to senior leaders, including the Australian Executive Team, with a focus on your professional development and leadership experience.

Our program offers ongoing support for your success through:

  • An Executive sponsor who will meet with you approximately every 6-weeks to invite two-way feedback and reflection - this will be a member of our Australian Executive Team.
  • A placement buddy to support you for the duration of the placement - this will be a graduate from a previous cohort who can offer peer-to-peer mentoring.
  • A Graduate Lead responsible for day-to-day support throughout the program. They arrange placements, collate feedback, provide coaching and help you identify potential opportunities at the end of the 2-year program.
  • Engagement with the Ramsay Graduate Community in the global cohort with the opportunity to share experiences and insights, offer support and network.
  • A structured learning program that includes an induction to Ramsay, a blend of face-to-face and virtual learning workshops and access to an Online Learning Hub.
  • An individual development plan focussed on your learning to help you get established, build key skills and knowledge, and grow your leadership capability.

To be eligible for our Program, you must:

  • Be either an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (at the time of submitting this application).
  • Be currently residing in Australia.
  • Have completed your degree (undergrad or postgrad) on or after September 2021 (within 3 years of the program start date).
  • Be ready to commence full-time employment on Monday 2nd September 2024
  • Be prepared to relocate if required at any time during the program. Operational rotations may take place in any of our facilities across Australia.

Pros and cons of working at Ramsay Health Care

Pros

  • The support that has been given since I started. I have had the opportunity to work in different business areas and I feel that sometimes my opinion is valued.

  • A good blend of autonomy and support throughout the graduate program.

  • The educational growth pathways eg Grad certs available through Ramsay. Many programs are available if you want to change roles.

  • The amazing support I have had from day 1 from my colleagues, the graduate coordinators and the management teams in each area which has contributed to my professional growth as a nurse.

Cons

    • Paper based notes.

    • Stress and feeling overwhelmed sometimes.

    • When it gets busy and there doesn't seem to be enough staff.

    • Nurse to patient ratios.

    • Heavy workloads
