We are seeking the brightest minds to join our experienced team working on the nation’s most complex engineering programs.

Systems Engineering positions are open at various locations including Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. We also have exciting opportunities in Adelaide where we’re ready to support the transition of the defence industry in South Australia into its next exciting phase at our purpose-built Centre for Joint Integration at Mawson Lakes.

As one of our Systems Engineers, you will assist with requirements, design, integration, verification and validation support and be empowered to contribute to highly complex projects. Working with us you will use technical theories and concepts to provide real-world solutions for current project phase challenges.

Successful applicants receive training in Raytheon Australia’s approach to Systems Engineering which covers all areas of responsibility and will participate in teams with accomplished engineers to ensure rapid knowledge growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit / refine / document requirements and create verification statements for requirements.
  • Perform systems analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements to satisfy the system requirements.
  • Perform system design activities (including trade studies) to ensure that the system architecture is compatible with the baselined product and is consistent across all subsystems and that the system design will meet the system-level performance requirements.
  • Maintain the design of the system including the specifications and interface requirements specifications as required.
  • Develop and maintain system-level architecture design documents as required.
  • Perform technical risk analysis as required and plan, document and execute verification and validation activities.
  • Plan, document and execute integration, verification and validation activities.

Skills Experience and Qualifications

  • University Degree in Engineering.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva.
