Graduate Program 2025 - Information Technology

The 2025 Graduate Development Program Information Technology (IT) at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is designed to support the development of emerging professional talent. RBA IT embraces innovation and works closely with the banking industry, commonwealth government and foreign central banks.

Our industry recognised program provides our graduates with an opportunity to explore and learn through our 2-year rotational program, 4 rotations every 6 months.

At the RBA, each IT Graduate is supported through their career exploration by the IT Senior Leadership Team. Our graduate program provides you with four rotations in areas including:

  • Software Engineering & Programming
  • Systems Support
  • Project Coordination & Project Management
  • Business Analysis
  • Cybersecurity
  • Testing
  • Information Support & Services
  • Enterprise Strategy & Architecture
  • Change & Communications
  • Cloud
  • Networking
  • Infrastructure

  • IT Graduate applicants must hold or be completing a degree with strong academic achievement in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field with relevant application or interest in IT.
  • All applicants must be Australian permanent residents or citizens or hold New Zealand citizenship.
  • When applying for the Information Technology Graduate Program, a cover letter with your application is highly desirable and recommended.

I am in the management reporting team and have been a part of various roles. I had a focus on budgeting/forecasting for IT projects, with a focus on one specific project. I have now moved into a role of doing work for the whole project portfolio. I also have various month end responsibilities and journal posting.
