As a graduate I'm lucky enough to get frequent updates on the initiatives our business is running to hit our target of net 0 carbon by 2050.

Pushing to be carbon neural by 2050.

Sustainability is a big focus.

zero carbon pledges for 2050 and industry leading processing technology that has already proven net zero potential. In many respects mining/RioTino is leading the way in achieving net zero targets more then other industries.

In terms of everyday office things, its quite standard. Just having a recycling bin in common spaces, and providing reusable containers.

I honestly haven't really seen much effort being put into reducing the environmental footprint here on site. I must admit maybe I haven't been to the right places. However, one of our team member has a container in the office which we all use to put plastic and cans for recycling.

Increasing importance.

Rehabilitation is stressed quite highly and runs concurrently with the mining operations.

I wish i could rate this higher, my specific site is doing a huge project to reduce this footprint but i still dont think it is enough to really push it into that high importance stage.

Decarbonisation projects are the main priority to ensure the company meet its goals in 2030.

At Marandoo we affect as little area as possible. We use heaps of electricity, water and diesel

Hard to see the efforts from the Pilbara however, recent collaborations for Renew-Al etc

Removal of coal assets, large focus on mine closures and sustainability planning.

There's efforts and initaitive but it's often in conflict with production

More of a focus onto increasing effectiveness of operations against emissions output. Solid commitment from upper leaders to protect surrounding environment from impacts on site. Site culture is better for environmental awareness in some sites than others.

The company has recycling bins for paper and cardboard. The office building has solar panels for our electricity consumption. They have also given out water bottles to employees to reduce plastic water bottle consumption.

My company is working towards in reducing environmental footprint by increase efficiency of the way we mine, processing and refining our product.
