We are looking for an Electrical Engineering graduate to join our Smart Infrastructure team. This pivotal role provides technical expertise to our sales organisation and customers, helping them harness the full potential of Siemens products and integrate them seamlessly into their operations.

About the Role

  • Based in Bayswater, Melbourne with the flexibility to work from home 2-3 days a week.
  • Conduct power system studies focusing on steady-state, transient, power quality, and small signal performance across transmission, distribution networks, microgrids, and hybrid grids.
  • Deliver high-impact, detailed reports that transform complex data into actionable insights and solutions. 
  • Be a trusted advisor, collaborating with customers and project teams to integrate Siemens solutions to achieve their technical and business goals. 
  • Prepare detailed offers, including cost estimates and technical scopes, and assist in contract negotiations.
  • Drive industry innovation by offering consulting to partners at technical and commercial levels.

About You

You are:

  • An Australian permanent resident or citizen.
  • Recently graduated, completing your Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2022, 2023 or 2024. Specialisation in Power Systems or Control Systems is essential.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Energised by the challenges of power system planning.
  • Skilled in handling and analyzing complex data to uncover insights and drive solutions. 
  • Confident with simulation tools like PSS®E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
  • Ideally, familiar with grid connection engineering for the NEM, with a basic understanding of the NER (National Electricity Rules) and Australian grid standards.
  • A strong communicator, able to clearly convey complex ideas both verbally and in writing. 
  • Strategically minded with strong business sense, capable of aligning technical expertise with broader business goals.
