The company doesn't look at CVs. They don't care about where you went to school, as long as you are passionate about Data Viz you are considered the same as everyone else.

The interview process is CV blind - you are judged on the work you create and that is pretty much it. At no point did I send a CV. They don't care about where you went to school or anything like that, only what you created.

Nothing explicitly as yet. But the recruitment process, where CVs aren't considered, does help to address bias towards big name universities.

To be honest, I'm not close with the hiring process - so I'm not the best person to ask; however, the Core team of consultants do visit various careers fairs across the country and don't seem to favour applications from one type of background. For example, all of the Data School intakes have been markedly different in make-up - in ethnicity, background, and personality.

The hiring process is focus on interest, passion and wish to learn. So your degree or where have you studied is not important. That allows people from different backgrounds apply and join.
