ABOUT THE ROLE 

TransAlta operates and maintains 6 Power Stations in Western Australia. With a 25-year history in the State, we provide safe, clean, and reliable power to large mining and industrial customers and have invested significantly in stable, long-term contracts.

We are currently looking for a motivated Graduate Accountant to join our team in Perth! You will be a part of the finance team working reporting to the Senior Management Accountant. You are responsible for the Revenue billing and assisting with the month-end process and reporting functions. You will also work closely with the Commercial and Operations teams to ensure the accuracy of our monthly reporting.

The base location for this position is at our Perth Head Office and is a full-time role. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Graduate Accountant, you will: 

• Preparation of monthly billing for our Customers
• Preparation of month-end accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assistance with preparation of month-end reporting
• Preparation of our joint venture reporting

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following must-have qualifications and experience:

• Completed or nearly completed a Bachelor of Business
• Intermediate Excel skills are highly desired
• Requires excellent communication skills
