Energy Market Services (EMS) is a commercial business group within Transpower.
The EMS Delivery team provides specialist data management, market development and operational services that support energy markets in New Zealand. It develops and operates specialist systems and processes that are used for the collection and transformation of data into meaningful information for the wider business and industry. About the opportunity
New Zealand's energy landscape is changing - rapidly!
With a steady increase of invertor-based technologies connecting to the grid i.e. solar, wind, battery storage we must ensure that the data we collect on these new connections is insightful, high quality and readily available for our internal customers to consume.
With this in mind, we are seeking an experienced analyst to help us transform the way we manage and present data to the business.
Based in Wellington, you'll use EMS systems to gather, process and report revenue and power quality data on daily and monthly cycles.
You'll contribute to the success of the team by using your skills, understanding of metering and reporting systems, and process documentation to develop and enhance the services provided by the team.
About you
Excited about the electricity sector and where its headed, you bring curiosity, strong analytical skills, a desire to streamline and improve processes, and exceptional teamwork.
Ideally you'll have experience using PowerBI to bring data and reporting to life!

NB: This role may be suitable for a recent university graduate with 2+ years of relevant analytical and/or reporting experience gained in the electricity sector.
