What I tell all my juniors in college is to build a good LinkedIn profile. We may have heard that LinkedIn profiles are underrated, but having a good LinkedIn profile is highly beneficial for one who is in college.

To be a successful product designer, being a proactive designer is important. Having good communication skills, being able to interact with various stakeholders from an associate product designer to a developer and convincing them of your idea is the key. Being creative and coming up with new ideas are also essential.

Internships are an incredible learning journey. It helps you prepare for your professional career. They are beneficial for brushing up your hard skills and soft skills like communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

Stipends should not be the only motivation for doing internships. We should focus more on skill development.

In my perspective, an internship is the most crucial part of a student's life. Before getting completely into a corporate world, working as an intern helps the students get a glimpse of the corporate world and corporate culture.

Students should definitely take up internships. They should grab the opportunity to work in any organization, gain exposure and develop the necessary skills. The experience that we build over the years helps us in getting a better job profile.

In my opinion, the importance of an internship lies in the career that you ultimately want to pursue. If your future career demands experience, then taking on internships is the right thing to do.

For the first-year and second-year students' if an internship isn't that rewarding it's understandable but the aim should be to make it rewarding for yourself in terms of experience and learning.
