2022 – 2023 CommBank Institutional Banking & Markets – Summer Intern Program 

Summary

We are looking for 2022-2023 Summer Interns to join our Institutional Banking & Markets team in Sydney. This unique opportunity allows you to work in teams that manage corporate government and institutional clients. The Australian Network on Disability (AND) is offering students with disability the opportunity to participate in Commonwealth Bank’s prestigious Summer Intern Program 2022/23 as part of Stepping Into.

Am I eligible?

• Applicants must be in the penultimate (second last) year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Australian citizens and permanent residents only.
• Applicants must have at least a credit average across their degree.
• Applicants must be available to work full-time, 5 days per week from 28 November 2022 – early February 2023 (exclusive of Christmas break).
• Applicants from all degree areas are encouraged to apply.

Our Summer Intern Program is a challenging and rewarding way to get a taste of what a long-term career with us will look like. 

Our Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) team works with major corporate, government and institutional clients and investors! The team perform a critical role in providing products and services to stakeholders that make a significant impact on everyday life.

The environment in IB&M is fast paced and exciting. We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, a critical thinker, innovative and motivated. 

You don’t have to be a finance graduate to fit into the IB&M team – we have a range of people from engineers, lawyers, scientists to arts graduates all making a significant contribution to the bank.

The program commences on the 28th of November 2022, where you’ll join as a full-time employee over the summer. Here you’ll get a taste of what it’s like working at CommBank through formal learning events and workplace-based experiential learning, to help you decide if we’re the right fit for you.

The program centres around 4 key elements:

This 10-week Program provides exposure across our diverse business. You’ll receive training and networking opportunities, be supported by a buddy and have the chance to contribute meaningfully to our business.
