Pros & Cons

  • Hybrid Remote Working and Company Culture
  • The development opportunities and flexible working environment with amazing team support
  • I like Capgemini because it is a company that not only is one of the front runners in the industry, but it also believes in workplace equality and diversity and really does care about its employees - even for someone who has just joined.
  • Some of the best things about working at Capgemini include working with fellow graduates and creating healthy work culture among peers. The people I've worked with have all been supportive and nice.
  • Overall, it was a good experience. Got an opportunity to work on cybersecurity-related projects. Got involved with other initiatives/events. Spending 40 hours on L&D is worth it.
  • Difficulty in connecting with people (especially other graduates) during the initial stages of my graduate program.
  • Learning to use the various internal systems.
  • Salary compensation could be more competitive.
  • Consultants may be on the bench for long stretches of time.
  • Not being able to choose or apply for a business line of your choice at the very start.

I am personally working on a project that provides schools with a safe and convenient platform to request emergency meals or food stocks at school. Using marketplace theory, we connect schools with hungry children to organisations or individuals who want to donate food.

Diversity and inclusion is heavily emphasised by the organisation. There are lots of support programs and pathways such as ReLaunch which supports women and trans people to re-enter the work force after a break/interruption to their career.

As a Grad (Associate Consultant), I support more experienced team members in delivering agile projects. This involves engaging with clients and stakeholders, preparing of deliverables (usually a PowerPoint slide deck), and role specific learning. On-the-job learning is emphasised, but there are internal trainings/certifications available.

Management
Very satisfied with managers. Flat hierarchy and structure makes it easy to directly communicate with managers who are very accessible. Managers make good members, internal communication is great through a few different means. Performance feedback is regular and supportive, recognition of efforts is regular and positive
