Cultural & Linguistic Diversity at Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR)

At DEWR, you will have access to a range of Diversity and Inclusion Networks designed to bring people together with shared experiences and interests.

The department is committed to supporting and promoting the inclusion and advancement of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse employees. We recognise that we can create a safe, equitable and inclusive workplace for all when we better represent the full diversity of the community in which we serve.

CALD Network

The CALD Employee Network is a welcoming community that comes together to celebrate Australia's rich cultural diversity and values, builds connections through various cultural practices, discusses challenges faced by the CALD community and learns how our staff are shaped by their cultural perspectives.

The CALD Network is open to all departmental employees, inclusive of everyone from all cultural and religious backgrounds and allies.

CALD Champions

DEWR’s Executive Diversity and Inclusion Champions play a key role in fostering an inclusive, respectful and positive workplace culture. They support Diversity and Inclusion Networks by advocating for cultural safety, competency, and change.

Our CALD Champions support the CALD Network to advocate for and support CALD inclusion in the workplace.
