Jarden is a leading trans-Tasman full-service investment bank providing advisory, risk and capital solutions to some of Australasia’s highest performing companies. We are the leading equities house in New Zealand with an extensive track record of success extending nearly 60 years, and launched an Australian office in 2020 spearheaded by an industry-leading team.

We are driven by our values and believe in fostering an entrepreneurial and collegiate atmosphere, where everyone, regardless of rank or tenure, is equally responsible for building and maintaining a supportive and collaborative culture. We strive for diversity and inclusivity.

At Jarden, we believe that what you learn in the first years of your career has the capacity to shape your future.

That’s why we offer specialist summer internships and graduate programs. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of the action and sit alongside some of Australia’s most experienced bankers, as an active member of an entrepreneurial and results-oriented team. You will be exposed to a broad, diverse set of leading clients and exciting transactions.

Incredible opportunities are waiting for you at Jarden.

WHY CHOOSE JARDEN?

A career at Jarden not only provides the opportunity to work at a leading and rapidly growing investment bank, but also to work across a range of sectors and transactions. Despite Jarden’s youth in the Australian market, it has already seen outsized success in its short history. In 2021, Jarden generated ~$21bn transaction volume and raised over $300bn in capital, leveraging the deep relationships with domestic and offshore investors.

As such, Jarden is uniquely positioned to provide you with the experience, expertise, and talent of a leading investment bank, without you being lost in the crowd of a larger organisation. Jarden is a place where everyone will know your name and you will be given the focus and support that a larger company cannot provide.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • The best thing about Jarden is how supported the company has made me feel in both an educational and personal sense. We have received unfettered access to any learning facilities that we need and have been provided with world-class training programs to provide us with the tools to successfully begin our careers. Additionally, the team has always ensured that our personal development is the highest priority and provided us with the autonomy to think for ourselves. Moreover, the team ensures that we are personally tracking towards our goals and managing the stressors that come with a new career appropriately.
  • Fantastic training is provided, and I learn so much on the job. The company culture is also great.
  • Great colleagues, and a supportive working environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Being amongst a team of incredibly hardworking, motivated, and talented individuals who are also very personable is one of my favorite aspects of my job. Whether it be working alongside them or general daily conversations amongst people in other teams, it really makes you appreciate the day-to-day aspect of work. In addition, closely collaborating with senior executives across a diverse spectrum of companies represents an extraordinary opportunity as a junior being a truly distinctive aspect of this role.
  • Quality of the people, the engagement of junior staff across the floor (including across teams), the quality of the training (and the ability to do it overseas in NZ), and the quality of the projects we get to advise on.
  • Jarden has made the transition for the start of my career feel very smooth and I have nothing to comment on this question.
  • Nothing immediately comes to mind. I work in an environment with people who not only value the work I produce but also are there to teach and support me on a day-to-day basis.
  • Perhaps hours - but comes with the job.
  • The usual drawbacks of banking, however it is likely much better at Jarden than elsewhere.
  • The worst thing is sometimes losing control of your schedule because, in a fast-paced environment, new things pop up all the time.

The coolest thing about my job is the exposure you get and the steep learning curve... I would also say the culture at Jarden is fantastic, with a big focus on their junior analysts’ learning and development.
