Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders at L'Oréal Australia and New Zealand

As the global leader in beauty, we are aware that everything we do can have a meaningful impact

At L'Oréal Australia & New Zealand, we aim to create a safe, inclusive workplace where our Indigenous communities are appreciated and respected.

From launching our Reflect Reconciliation Action plan, encouraging our employees to partake in Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training Courses, and funding the L’Oréal Australia For Women in Science Indigenous Undergraduate Scholarship; we are taking fundamental steps to increase the engagement and representation of First Nations people within our business.

Below are details of the reconciliation journey:

  • L’Oréal Australia & New Zealand fully supports the Uluru Statement from the Heart and the call for constitutional recognition for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • L’Oréal Australia & New Zealand officially launched their Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan end of last year. The RAP has been published on Reconciliation Australia’s website
  • At L’Oréal Australia & New Zealand, we aim to create a safe, inclusive workplace where all cultures are appreciated and respected. January 26th is a difficult day for many, including our First Nations people. That’s why we made a change this year. We offered employees the option to work on January 26th.
  • We have 10 members of the L’Oréal Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group. These individuals were chosen for their unique skills and perspectives to ensure our Reconciliation Action Plan is as rigorous and sustainable as it possibly can be. We’re thankful for their work, alongside Reconciliation Australia in helping us to sustainably and strategically take meaningful action to advance reconciliation.
  • We encourage employees to undertake the Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training Course. The program is designed to provide you with the practical understanding required for successfully working with Victoria’s First Nations communities and people. The program is tailored to not only provide a historical perspective but to also provide learning which can be applied in your everyday life
