Career Prospects at Nutrien Ag Solutions

I haven't heard a lot about what it takes to move up the ranks but in my position at the moment I have learnt that gaining experience, through being independent, having good initiative and taking responsibilities is the best way to kick start the promotion process from the graduate level.

As a graduate I can move into many positions in the future, and ability to reach head office is promoted as very possible, with many head managers starting their careers in branches.

Nutrien is always looking for future leaders within the company. They help us find what areas of the company we enjoy and are supportive of providing training or anything else we need for us to move into other/higher positions.

Always willing to promote career development and have programs available for people that want to take the next step.

The promotion possibilities are huge at Nutrien because the company is so big, different roles of promotion include category managers, branch managers and regional managers etc. To move up the ranks you need to work hard and gain a great understanding of your business area and the business as a whole.

Hearing how many people start in roles like mine and work their way up to management or different roles is widely known. There are many new roles created and roles are diverse and made to help fit many situations.

We get sent career opportunities within the company every week. If a certain position appealed to us, we would have to have a discussion with our manager. Most times it is up to the person to speak up and ask for a promotion or new role.

Big company and lots of avenues.

I think I would be happy to just improve my agronomic skills at this stage and pick up clients. I am not looking to climb any trees at the moment.

To move up ranks it takes someone who's always willing to take the initiative, who is always eager to learn more and can learn fast, someone who can work well alone as well as with other team members.

Doing good work will get you recognized. Promotion possibilities are considered if there was a role available.
