How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
Hours can be long but that is to be expected and work is rewarding. There is also substantial flexibility and compensation for long hours worked. Additionally, no face time culture so can log-off early in quiet periods

Relatively flexible in that you can WFH or office, and allowances are made for when you have important occasions / events. However, generally, this is not a 9-5pm job and to expect otherwise or plan regular non-work occasions on a week night at e.g., 7pm, isn't necessarily recommended.

Consultants are trusted to manage their hours and push back when workloads are too high, meaning hours can be quite self-directed, assuming the work gets done. Infrequently there are crunch periods that may necessitate weekend work.
Midlevel, Sydney
All situationally dependent, if not on a live deal or proposal and helping out with some business development work - hours can be much tamer and easy to work around. When on live deals & proposals, due to time sensitivity, it may be hard to work around for last minute requests.

Hard to plan your social life during the week when you are on a project. There is some flexibility but depends on your manager/partner. Work always comes first and you are expected to be available whenever on weekdays
