Lots of charity partnerships around housing, also went carbon neutral this year which was fantastic

Lots of charity work, a charity cafe downstairs + aiming for carbon neutrality this year I believe. In week one of the grad program we did a charity event donating to women and children in crisis accommodation situations by creating and delivering hampers to them in time of need.

I do not feel confident that REA is interested in social responsibility beyond that which is useful for public relations. The company has partnerships with multiple charities aiming to assist the homeless, such as Orange Sky and The Big Issue. Simultaneously, the company puts landlords and agents ahead of renters with disappointing consistently, and despite its position of immense power in the housing industry does very little to push for genuine public housing or similar initiatives.

They support a wide range of organisations as well as providing employees leave to volunteer with organisations of their choice.

We have many charity partners such as launch housing, orange sky laundy as well as our community cafe (donation based coffee)

REA Group has a whole team of people devoted to this. We have many charities we support, some of the more significant contributions are to Orange Sky and Launch housing. In terms of what they offer to employees, each employee has volunteer leave, we also have the opportunity to donate to charities through the match payroll giving service which means (up to a given amount) REA will match whatever donation we give. We also (before COVID, hopefully again soon) have a community cafe in our office where we can go and get a barista coffee for a donation to our choice of charity (usually between 5 charities). All the donations go to the selected charities.

Its corporate social responsibility is prevalent - there are plenty of opportunities to donate to charities, donate blood, and the like - and their climate policy is a net 0 one, it is environmentally friendly. The company is owned by NewsCorp however so any social responsibility feels shallow and empty

I created a blood drive at REA I have also donated and REA matched my donation

Solar panels on our offices, recycling and waste disposal at the office, free cups to go take to coffee shops instead of single use. Partnered with charities such as orange sky and Big issue
