At Russell Kennedy, we are very proud of our collegiate culture and we work hard to recruit people that we believe will flourish in our firm. We welcome confident, skilful people who enjoy working together to make a difference.

Russell Kennedy has an impressive and diverse client list which allows talented new Lawyers to practice across a range of specialised areas. The size of our firm ensures that all staff have a large amount of contact with each other and with our clients.

We are committed to providing high-quality legal advice to our clients, a rewarding working environment for our staff and a sound learning environment for our seasonal clerks.

Russell Kennedy Seasonal Clerkship Program

Our Seasonal Clerkship Program is designed to give you a real sense of what your career will be like here at Russell Kennedy. The program is both informative and interesting and will give you a great insight into working here as a new Lawyer.

You'll be partnered with a mentor and buddy who will ensure you get the most out of your time with us. With their guidance, you will be undertaking tangible legal work, including drafting correspondence, assisting with research, attending court and participating in client meetings. You'll also be able to attend our in-house seminars for professional development and spend time with our current Law Graduates to learn about their experiences, challenges and triumphs.

In addition, you will be invited to join in our extra-curricular activities such as social club activities and end-of-month celebrations.

What we look for in a Seasonal Clerk

Naturally, a sound academic record is an important starting point, but we also consider other attributes such as extra-curricular interests and life experiences outside your studies to be important. These may be previous work experience, volunteer work, travel, sporting or cultural interests.

We operate in a friendly environment and we genuinely encourage a work/life balance. So, personable, insightful, intelligent people with energy and enthusiasm will thrive at Russell Kennedy.

If this sounds like you, we are interested in hearing from you. Please address your application to:
