What it does: A safety culture is an organisational culture that places a high level of importance on safety beliefs, values and attitudes.

Mission: To help companies achieve safer and higher quality workplaces all around the world through innovative, low-cost mobile first products.

Size and presence: SafetyCulture claims to host over 1.5 million users across 28,000 companies on its platform in more than 85 countries. It powers 600 million checks per year and millions of corrective actions per day, according to Anear.

Best known for: Placed number 3 in Australia's Best Places to Work study in 2020.

The good bits: People have a team attitude that enables everyone to grow. There are a lot of positive attitudes as a result of the pride people take in their work. There are opportunities to learn new skillsets and grow professionally if you put yourself out there.

The not so good bits: Nothing negative reported about the working environment by the employees so far.

The SafetyCulture story

After witnessing the tragedy of workplace incidents as a private investigator, our founder Luke Anear went on to recruit a team to help him develop a mobile solution for safety in the workplace. SafetyCulture was originally founded in 2004 from Luke’s garage. As it started gaining momentum and was adopted by a wider range of customers, SafetyCulture graduated into an office space in Townsville, Australia. The team has since expanded across the globe with additional offices in Sydney, Kansas City and Manchester.

Our flagship product, SafetyCulture, simplifies the auditing process by making it easy for anyone to effectively manage safety and quality from a mobile device. Frontline workers are empowered to report issues quickly to prevent an incident due to inefficiency and limited visibility. Word of mouth about SafetyCulture and the growing industry movement toward safer, data-driven workplaces have added momentum to our growth.
