SAL Consulting Group is a consulting organisation with a focus on working with complex individuals, systems and organisations. We work with children and young people; people with a disability; people who have mental health support needs, people who have experienced trauma, their families, and the organisations and government departments that support them.

Recruitment Process

Applicants for roles within SAL Consulting group forward a cover letter addressing job criteria with their CV to our HR Manager. At times a writing sample may be requested. Interviews are conducted face to face or via videoconferencing, usually with 1-2 interviews required before a decision is made. Successful applicants generally display the following:

  1. A Bachelor or Post Graduate degree in relevant discipline and eligibility for registration with governring body;
  2. A passion to make a difference for people with intellectual disabilities and/or people who have had experiences of trauma and who have complex needs;
  3. Ability to engage in assessment, treatment planning and intervention for children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of presentations;
  4. Willingness to train and mentor/support parents and families, direct care staff and educators;
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and developed organisational and time management skills;
  6. Capacity to work autonomously as well as the ability to work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team;
  7. A strong client focus and commitment to learning, continuous quality improvement, and ongoing professional development;
  8. A current Driver Licence; and
  9. A willingness and ability to travel periodically to regional or remote areas and interstate.
