I am responsible for managing an assigned case. Depending on the stage the case is at, I could be analysing data from a variety of internal sources, identifying tax risks, contacting clients, writing reports, and providing recommendations.

I am assigned work within our project. I can generally always reach out for help, and my team leaders are very friendly. I do receive recommendations as to how long certain tasks might take, but there is never any pressure. However, I do always complete my tasks before they are due, so I cannot comment on what the pressure would be like if your work was not completed. Mainly, I just want to complete my work at a high standard and in a timely manner.

The work is varied and diverse. At the moment, I tend to do profiling, scoping and assuring work related to taxpayer entities. Law research, analysis, and interpretation. Using and navigating ATO systems and programs. Consideration of ATO values in everything we do. Some teamwork and some allocations made to me personally.

I prepared and filed tribunal documents, drafted legal documents including an affidavit, interviewed parties involved in the case, such as legal representatives and I attended the Federal Court to take judgment in a matter.
