Diversity and Inclusion at John Holland

John Holland is committed to transforming the lives of all those who work in their organisation. They seek to create an inclusive and diverse workplace so that they can attract the best employees, regardless of what their background is. John Holland has six diversity streams, including gender, indigenous, disability, LGBTI, culture and age. 

We partner with organisations such as CareerSeekers to ensure we identify talented individuals who can add to the diverse culture we promote at John Holland. Over summer 2020/21 John Holland projects across Australia hosted 18 CareerSeeker University students. Working alongside our employees, the students are able to take what they have learned at university and apply it in on worksites each day.

In 2022, we also adopted a multicultural leave exchange policy which allows employees to swap out public holidays for days that are culturally or religiously significant for you. For example, our people who are Muslim might choose to swap the Easter public holidays for Ramadan and Eid ul-Fitr, or those who identify as First Nations peoples might decide to swap Australia Day for a day during NAIDOC or Reconciliation Week.
